Tree Swing

A few days before we went camping, Rick took Kolten and his friend Logan swimming down the road from our house to this awesome tree swing where Kolten met up with his cousin Cody.  They had a blast until it was Rick's turn to swing.  One of Cody's friends asked Rick if he wanted to try it and Rick gladly replied, "Sure!"  As Rick swung out, the rope snapped and he fell in.  Rick later told me about how embarrassed he was and how he felt like a fat butt in front of everyone.  All I could do was laugh.  Cody saved the day though by climbing back up the huge tree and tying the rope back up.  After fixing the rope, he wanted to jump out of the tree into the water, which was about a 30 ft drop into 5-6 feet deep water, but Rick told him he was off duty and wouldn't fix his broken legs if he did.  After much convincing, Cody decided not to jump.  He had Rick a little worried there for a few minutes.

Baby Dillan

Kolten got to hold his new baby cousin for the first time the other night.  He was so excited.  He got to feed him and everything.  Well everything except change his bum which he refused to do.  I have to admit, I was a little excited that we got to watch him also.  Phil and Melissa took Maddy and Cali to the baseball game and asked us to babysit.  I forgot how precious it is to take care of a newborn.  I love the smell of little babies.  I just wanted to squeeze him but I knew Phil and Melissa might not let us babysit again if I did. j/k

Camping

Rick, Kolten & I went camping with Jess, Shelley and Kaden a couple of weeks ago and had a blast. Actually Rick had to work the next day so we just went up for the day and rode motorcycles. We had so much fun and got really dirty from following each other on our motorcycles. Shelley's face got the dirtiest. We got a good laugh at each other as we took off our goggles and helmets. Of course, I forgot my helmet and goggles and had to borrow Jess's. I looked like such a nerd. Rick didn't want to be hot in his motorcycle pants so he was sportin some jean shorts under his motorcycle gear which made it so I didn't feel so bad when I had to wear Jess's goggles.

Mariah is still dressing the same obviously, Risk-A. I think I saw her in that same outfit, or close to it, last weekend in the Saturday Night Live show.

Rick's B-Day Hit

Apparently Rick is so old they didn't have video back then for me to get them in concert.  Here is a more recent version of them performing.

#1 Hit on Kolten's B-Day

This was the #1 hit on Kolten's B-Day.  If you remember right, Elton John sang this song at Princess Diana's funeral that year.

Le Freak ~ CHIC

Here is the #1 hit on the day I was born.  I couldn't get it to play on my playlist so just click above to hear it.  You will have to push pause on the music playlist or you will get both playing at the same time.

Words

I get quotes sent to me everyday by "Walk The Talk".  I thought this quote was awesome.  Hope you do too.

More Goods From The Garden

Take a look... More goods from my garden.

Cutest House Ever

I don't know if you can see this house in very good detail or not but I think this is the cutest house ever and if we build again we will probably do something very similar.

Another Cool Invention

Here is another invention of Kolten's from a while ago.  He called it Kolten's Animal Catching Service.  If you look closely, you will see just below the laundry basket or animal trap, Kolten put some of Jiggy's favorite treats there so that he could trap her.  Kolten was so excited when his trap worked and he caught Jiggy, I wasn't so excited on the other hand and Kolten got in trouble.

Kolten's Creativity

I swear Kolten is either a really talented and creative kid or he is just extremely board and comes up with crazy ideas in his head to pass time.  I think it is a combination of both that helped create this little invention of his.  He called it a sling shot.  Who ever invented toys just wanted to take all our money... Kids don't need any stinking toys, just give them some plastic wear and they are set.

Why Do We Like Idaho?

Why do we like to live in Idaho?  Oh, I know, cause we can't get enough of the mosquito's.   I've been bit about 14 times now in various places.  Two odd places, I thought, in my armpit and the back of my neck.  I iche like crazy on my legs.  One touch and it's all over, I'm iching for about a half hour.  My poor horse has huge bumps all over her body from the blood sucking bugs.  I HATE MOSQUITO'S!

In Loving Memory of My Garden

Well, I guess my garden isn't as badly tromped as I thought.  It could be a lot worse I guess.  Take a look at the first of my crop.  MEXICAN GOLD - I call it - AKA - cilantro.  It is growing better than the weeds believe it or not and smells up my whole kitchen.  I LOVE IT!!!!!!  I also have pea pods that are almost ready to pick and tomatoes.  I picked some carrots today and ate them.  They are about the size of baby carrots (my pinkie).   What is left of my corn is about as tall as my thigh.  I also have some pretty big pumpkin plants, gourds, and chili plants.

Big Surprise!

My deck is almost stained.  You can't see it yet though.  Not until it is all done.  We noticed our grass is starting to grow too.  How EXCITING!!!!!!!!

SOOOOOOOOOO SAD!

You will never guess what happened...  My horses busted through the fence & tromped my garden!  They got a lot of my corn and all the new stuff I planted.  I'm sick about it.  Stupid horses!  I was so proud of it too.
