We finally got our deck built.  Now all we have to do is stain it and it is done.  I can't wait!  Plus take a look at my garden.  We got our first blossom yesterday on our peas.  Whoohoo!  And finally (now maybe you will see why I have not got to my blog for a while) we planted grass.

Planting

Rick and I decided to lay some drip line and do some leveling yesterday to get ready for planting grass seed.  I think we are going to try to plant seed tomorrow.  We'll see what happens.

Updated Deck Work

Slowly, the deck is coming together.  I'm so excited.

Our First Campfire in Firepit

Sorry about the blurry pics.  My camera doesn't do very good in the dark when there are lights in the picture (in this case fire).

Father's Day yesterday was alot of fun... We had a little bar-b-que after church and then played some apples to apples and later in the evening we made Rick's favorite, German Chocolate Cake and sat around the campfire in our new firepit.  I can't wait for some family bar-b-que's and to have some fun this summer.

Bucket of Balls

Today Rick and I took Kolten to hit a bucket of balls at the golf course for Father's Day.  We had a lot of fun until Kolten got his feelings hurt by Rick giving him pointers on how to hit the ball.  Poor Kolty.  I felt bad for him.

Gardening

Yesterday was pretty crazy but I guess that just goes along with how are lives are right now.  I think few of you know that I was recently put in as the new Webelo Scout Leader and yesterday was day camp.  I had a ton of things to do at home but Rick was nice enough to go with me to take the boys up to day camp at Palisade's.  It was a crazy, cold day yesterday and when we got up there it was snowing.  We were only there about a half hour to an hour (which it took us longer to drive there than we ended up staying, about a 1 hour and 20 min. drive) when they pulled all of the kids and leaders in the lodge and told us that we could stay and do some indoor activities for a short while or check out and they would reimburse us for the day camp fee.  After a short 30 seconds of talking to the drenched boys, it was decided unanimously to go home.
Once we took all the boys home and made it home ourselves, it was only about an hour later that the son came out and we could enjoy the rest of the day to do whatever we wanted to since all plans to do anything major had been cancelled due to day camp.  So we made the most of the day by gardening and washing the filthy cars from driving to Palisade's.
Check out my garden.  I'm so proud.  It's my first one ever...well, besides the one I had to plant for my mom when I was younger.  That one doesn't count.

The Stud That Made it Happen!

Here's the stud that made it all happen... and his side kick.

Curbing

More curbing...

Finally Curbing

Here's a little update on our landscaping... We finally put in curbing today.  Yeah!!!!!  It was a long process but totally worth it.  Our deck still isn't finished but oh well, I got curb.

Busy, Busy, Busy

I have been way to busy to keep up with everything around here so I thought I better let everyone know that we are still alive and kickin.  We are in the process of putting on our new deck... The guys that we have working on it are taking their sweet time and we haven't seen them for a week.  So we don't have much to show for a deck yet.  I have been planting like crazy around the firepit, which is starting to look really good.  Kolten and I put in some drip line today to keep the flowers watered.  I'll take some photo's for you to see soon.  Rick and I have also been really busy with real estate lately so that is eating up alot of our time.  We are hoping to have some curbing in by the end of next week and then grass... We'll see what happens.  It seems like we have a lot planned but it somehow gets ruined.  Anyway, I hope everyone is doing good.  I will update you on our progress soon.
